I have an ACER laptop which simply will not stop recording sounds.
I do not have a microphone plugged in.
It even picks up sounds of my typing and if i touch the laptop at all - the sound vibrates through my speakers - it is HORRIBLE!
I went on a mission to work it out.... I tried toggling my recording devices through the "COntrol PANel >sounds ANd recording devicES" option which did not help
I went to the ACCESSORIES>SOUND RECORDER... whebn i tried to record the sounds here is the message i got a warning box popped up:

Another application is recording audio. Stop recording with this other application and then try to record with sound recorder again.

so then i went to the advanced volume control and muted the microphone.. its giving me temporary relief but i want to know what software is causing this issue.
