-My computer says "no audio device"
-Also when i try to open volume control it says "no active mixer devices available"
-I have went into bios and onboard seems to be enabled, am pretty sure its this following driver that i need to get
-I have tried that emachines upgrader website that you gave before
-When i go to device manager it shows this

-?!multimedia audio controller
I have tried install/updatin drivers but it wont find any

Your audio plugs must be on the I/O plate for this driver to work, if you use an expansion slot then you have a Sound Card installed, see here, click the image to focus http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0io%20slot.JPG
the other devices could mean a sound card
if it's onboard go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...tDown=false#AC
Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install
Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Problem solved thanks to Bookworm
Bookworm you are a computer god, am bowing down to you right now. Thank you very, very much. My sound is now working perfectly. You know i have been to so many other sites, and it was all crab this and crab that. I also found Magicdriver, which was good but i had to pay money for the drivers. Listen if you have a donation on this website, or if i can send you guys the $25 that drivermagic was going to charge, i would be more than happy to do it. Again thank you Bookworm/computer God. i give you a hundred thumbs up.

Sorry, Bookworm, i have another question
Do you know anything about videos and pics?
I ask becuase my whole computer has become pixelated
-The videos, pics, icons, windows logo are pixelized
-I have downloaded all the drivers from that emachines website
-Then i installed the video card drivers
-I also installed the direct x from microsoft
-I have heard the suggestion of "flashing bios", could that fix the problem
It didnt happen before the reinstall of windows
The computer is also pixelated when i connect my video card to the TV
Here's an updated computer spec report via Belarc Advisor if it helps:

This is link to official emachine drivers http://www.emachines.com/support/pro...es&model=W3107
with the chipset drivers these need to be installed first - then RESTART the comp then install any other drivers.
is you monitor plugged into an expansion slot - see here - click image to focus
Not tohttp://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookworm/sound/comp%20io%20slot.JPGo sure on this one, have a word with these guys

Holly crab, I just relized am an idiot, i have been installing the drivers for model T3410, ok but it says that the T3410 drivers are applicable for my model, Oh man I even flashed the bios for the T3410 model,
-At first i was just using the onboard/I/O plate VGA connection to connect my monitor.
-Then, i installed those drivers when i had sound trouble.
-After that i installed my video card and its drivers. Now the monitor is plugged into the video card via PCI slot
-I switched to the regular VGA/on board connection to test the video card i still got pixelization
-Am almost positive it has to do with the erase of the harddrive, since before the installation process, the computer had no pixelization
-Should i install those drivers again?

Try a System File Check go to Run – type “sfc /scannow” (without the quotes and note space after sfc) have Win disc available in case sfc needs to replace or repair any files. The programme runs with no alerts and then closes.

sorry it took so long to respond
Here's what I have been up to:
-I did a quick erase
-Reinstalled windows again
-Then installed the drivers for my model this time
-I took out the video card, and currently am using the onboard VGA connection
-The pics are still pixelated, however

Oh yeah before installing the drivers, the screen was kind of wavy whe i scrolled down with the mouse. After installing the drivers it wasn't wavy any more just regular with no skips. i don't know but this might suggest that its not a hardware problem.
