no sound >.< need help

have no sound reformatted my computer windows xp service pack 2

i dont know how to show my drivers or mother board w/e plz help me with that and I have no sound so please help me with that too

When you got your computer, did you also receive the original driver CDs? You should have got a disk containing drivers for the mainboard chipset, sound, graphics cards etc.

If you haven't got that, you will need to identify the mainboard (it will say the name and model on it somewhere), and download the necessary drivers from the manufacturer's website (google it and look for support, drivers or downloads).

Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
