Exclamation Dirlock 1.4.1

Good Day, I am hope someone may help me with a problem.

I used DirLock it to lock a file on an external HDD.

When I right clicked on the file to unlock it, it opened the information box and asked me to add password and verify password, like the file was not protected, when I enter the information it says "Unknown Error" and will not unlock the file.

When I select the file to open it it says it is not accessable, so it is still locked.

Bottm line, it appears the file folder in question is still locked, and it will not re-engage the file lock software so I can put in the unlock password.

I googled it and found a video in Meta Cafe that said to uninstall it, and re-install it and it would remove the password....No such luck

I am at a loss. I have tried to copy/cut to a new file and it will not let me access the file.

I am running windows XP version 2002 with service pack 2

my e-mail is sheinzen@eakes.com if someone has any idea and would like to contact me off the thread....Thank you for your help

I solved my problem...

Removed DirLock form my computer........I logged out of windows, and logged back on as "Administrator", no password, browsed my way to the ext drive, created a new folder in the HDD, copied and pasted all the data from the old locked folder to the new folder, and deleted the old one....logged out and logged back in as user, and the problem was solved......Good Luck!
