Help Me With My Tv Card Pls

i live in nigeria,i just bought a new hp pavilion 6600 and it came with a tv card,i have installed the tv card succesfull but still i cannot recieve any station.i used the small antenna to try to get local station but no result.i even tried connecting it to my dstv decorder still i couldnt get any station.
could somebody help me bcos i am running out of options and getting frustrated.i really want to be able to watch both my local station and cable station

Wrong section, but make sure your card supports the standards you are trying to receive. You need a cable capable card for cable etc, and several different tv standards exist. Is your card compatable with nigerian tv, or have you set the options correctly to enable it.
A proper aerial is required or you will simply waste time.

The Tv Card Came With The Laptop,the Laptop Is Running Windows Vista Home.
The Card Has Slot For Connecting It To Coxial Cable From Ur Wall Outlet.
I Did Set The Region To Nigeria.
Does It Mean That I The Antenna That Came Witth It Cannot Cat Ch Even The Local Tv Station.
