Deleted Email Recovery

Hey folks...

Anyone have any tips or suggestions about recovering deleted emails from accounts like AOL? I know aol and others cache recent emails in temp folders and such and that this data can often be recovered using forensic software applications.

I have looked at Paraben's Email Examiner which claims to offer such a tool. It's pricey though... around 200 bucks to be exact which is pretty hefty for a one-time utility that may or may not actually work for me.

Any alternate suggestions or tricks as far as software goes? I want to restore about 20-30 recently deleted emails from my home computer (all from a single AOL account in which the Recently Deleted folder was emptied on the AOL server-side) I'm pretty despearate and would be interested to hear from anyone who has tried this or faced this problem in the past

I think if the emails you mention were actually held on (and deleted from) the server and not on your computer via an email client such as Outlook, the only real option you have is to get in touch with AOL and plead with them to restore your recently deleted emails.
