No active mixer devices available

[Need a new comp]

The idiot that i'am, i deleted the sound off my computer for the 3rd time. I can't remember for the life of me how to get it back. It says, no active mixer devices available. I did what it said to do, but didn't work.

I remember someone helping me out before on the net, and it took 2 seconds. Anyways, i have a dell dimension 2400. Can someone guide me to where i can download the device.
