how to remove half installed photogallery prog

Hi there all i have bought a second hand laptop and am having a problem wit a program install by other owner, every time i open a folder with a video file in it, a program starts to install itself this program is photo gallery,

it trys to look in the dvd drive for the disk but i dont have it, i click cancel on install and it goes away but once i open another folder wit a video its starts running again maybe ye might have an idea as to how to remove it as its really annoying me

Check if photo gallery is installed in add / remove programs?

If it's not in there, then you could try and make programs as default.

Like making WMP the default player etc.

its not in the add remove as photo gallery, cant see anything there that would even be close to a picture viewer,

i have nero and powerdvd set as my default for movie and videos

any other ideas
