Exclamation Cant delete new application please help...

Hello i need some help

OS: Windows XP

i was investgating the index.dat files and i found an application that will translate the index.dat files in to a human-readable format. So i found this program by googleing "index.dat viewer" or somthing and i found this website...

http://www.download25.com/install/indexdat-viewer.html

...it was giving away some freeware called IndexView.exe so i downloaded it (that only took half a second so i was a bit suspicious because it was very small, but i went ahead anyway) then i ran it and it opened an ms prompt window and an alert window, hears a screenshot...

http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/2485/problemfe5.png

...if i click close it will close both windows and if i click ignore another alert window come up so if a press ignore about 5 times it will then stop opening alert windows and just leave the ms prompt window open. so now i deside that i dont want this anymore and try to delete it but it comes up with the same alert window when your trying to delete an index.dat file

so i dont want it anymore and i want to know how to delete it (because it dosent work, hehe)

thanks for your help in advance

Try one of these utilities to get rid of the exe file you downloaded. They all work by deleting the file before Windows loads the next time you restart:

http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilit...kedfiles.shtml

(scroll down to middle of page)

Most of them function in a similar fashion -- they add a new sub-menu to Explorer's right-click menu. Right-click the file and choose "Delete at next reboot"
or words to that effect.
