Virtual PC network issues

Hi!

I am using a lot of Virtual PCs on different computers with different versions of Windows installed on them ( i am a programmer, so we test our software there. ). What i realized, is that some of these Virtual PCs are having some strange network issues. I sometimes cannot connect to them remotely, even though internet is working good on the host computer. It doesn`t depend on a version of Windows installed on it. I surfed the internet and didn`t find any similar posts or solutions. Maybe somebody knows what can be the problem?

You are talking about Microsoft Virtual PC or VMWare virtual PC........I use few MS virtual PC and VMware, what I find is that is the guest PC is not in the same work group or in the same domain name then accessing it has to be only via IP adress rather then PC name...Also, make sure that for Guest PC firewall setting does not block the traffic (disable built in firewall for XP)
