Help new computer random skip

Hi i need help with my new dell inspiron530 desktop its had 2gb of ram ati hd 2400pro graphics card intel pentium 2.2Ghzdualcore processor 230gb harddrive.....while im on it playing games,chating on msn,watching movies...it freezes for like 5 secs and un freezes and keeps doing that every 15 secs in till i restart it.... and it fixes for about 30 mins and starts again i can play games fast really fast and my pc temp dont go to high max is 60 and it started when i uninstalled vista basic and got xp..i got xp for the speed. its brandnew about 2 days since i got it and yea i know its not the graphics card cuz i tried useing the intergrated and none at all and i still gets the same prob so can any1 plz help me?

If that PC is under warranty then I wouldn't mess around with it...send it back to Dell to deal with it.

Are you sure you aren't overheating? A problem which i've read about is with machine applicators in a lot of Dell and HP contracted factories. Thermal Gel isn't applied correctly to the heatsink. You may want to look into that. Also, do you have an aftermarket cooler? If so, it may have been installed incorrectly.

Question

I have the same PC with the exact same spec (apart from it has Vista Ultimate installed) and havent had any problems with it. I would chase up Dell if it is causing a problem.
