How to COMPLETELY remove a program?

[Bug Me]

I need to have my computer completely free of any limewire or torrent programs (For a laptop configuration thing)
I already uninstalled limewire and utorrent, deleted the app data folders, searched for it on my hard drive, and deleted some registry keys left behind

However, the IT guy i gave it too, sent the laptop back to me telling me that he still found limewire and bittorrent, which i have no idea how that got on there because i never installed it before

Please help me figure out how i can get all traces off of my comp please?

open regedit, click EDITthen FIND and type in the name of the program and click FIND NEXT. delete any entry it finds ,then hit F3 to search again, keep doing this until it doesn't find any more.

well i tried deleting those reg keys, but he still found it
i also used ccleaner and that didn't work either

also, the problem isn't that i can't physically delete the programs, it's that i don't know where it is
and how the IT guy still finds it on my computer?

why is the guy being so insistent on it, thats weird, its almost like he is either guessing or going out of his way to find it and get out of working?

in any case, hes probably looking at your system logs. i don't know what OS your using, but in windows XP, go to control panel>administrative tools>computer management, open up the system tools and event viewer list and there should be 4 things under it. click one and go up to the menu bar, click action and then properties and there will be a button there that says clear log, click it and then do that for the other 4 logs if you want, but really the only two you should need to clear is the application and system logs.
