Unhappy wireless internet issue

I'm using Windows XP

One day, my wifi quit working suddenly. My brother got it to recognize the connector and it shows the icon on the bottem right. After a minute or so, a monitor with an attention triange sign saying status: limited ro no connectivity. I've tried to repair, but it cant renew the ip adress. The connection shows up on my ipod, but it wont connect. Please help
I am using a hacked Nintendo wifi connector.
