Slllooooowwww computer - HELP!!

Help please!!

My computer is forever slow, hard drive thrashing...non responsive programs, word takes literally 3 minutes to start up etc even when I only have outlook open

I have tried a registry cleaner (ccleaner) and I have defragmented the drive etc etc

Any other things I should try?
