Virus Detection Software

Can someone give me some information on some good virus/spyware/malware detection software?

I am trying to find a virus detection software that is very good at it's job. I want one that searches for viruses/spyware/malware deep in the computer. One that boots the PC from the disk. We used to have one for work but I can not rememer the name of it. It may have been Avast or something like that.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks, but I want something that comes on a disk. Not one that I download onto my computer.

Any other suggestions?

I would prefer Avira or Spyware Doctor.
Avira does download to your PC but you then make a bootle CD iso. If you want a bootable floppy the only option is this:
