Smile C drive is full, how to ensure downloads in D drive

Hello,

My C drive is full. So I can not download new software in C drive. I want to download software in D drive. But I do not know how to give instruction so that new software are downloaded in D drive. If I am downloading a software it goes to C drive but can not be downloaded fully due to lack of space. So how should i instruct compute to download in D drive rather than C drive. I am using windows XP.

Regards & Thanks
Ajay Kumar
