this is the onboard audio from Intel http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...nal &lang=eng

but if you have a sound card installed it may not work, having both causes confusion so XP uses neither.

this is Sound Blaster driver
http://support.creative.com/Products... Sound+Blaster

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

Multimedia audio controller continued...

Also when I look at Device Manager, Under Other Devices, Multimedia Audio Controller has a big yellow question mark beside it! My laptop keeps trying to install software for it, but it can't find any software to install!

any ideas how I can fix this problem?

Thank you
casa_bel

Thank you
