Video Streaming/Displaying Problems

Hi,

I am having some problems watching videos on both my computers. I know they are bot not up to date, but I was wondering if anything could be done to improve video watching. I mostly use Firefox and Google Chrome and occasionally IE. This is for both live streaming and other video watching.

The Laptop actually works pretty goo, but it is just not quick perfectly fluent. It pauses for a fraction of a second every so often.

Here is what I have:

PC
Processor AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-57 1.90 GHz
32-bit Operating System
RAM: 2.00GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M

LapTop
Processor:Intel (R) Pentium(R) 4 CPI 2.66Ghz
RAM: 1.98GB
Graphics Card: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

Thanks.
NYF.

Sadly, you did not tell us what OS these systems are using.

Do note that 2Gb of RAM is not very much - especially with integrated graphics, which takes a significant chunk of "system" RAM for graphics processing - reducing the available system RAM.

When you say both computers are not "up to date", I hope you mean they are just older machines but they are both fully updated with the latest Windows Updates.

Sorry about that. Yes, I meant that they are older machines. As far as I know they are updated with the latest Windows updates, but I will double check.

The desktop is 10 years old and running Windows XP-Pro.

The Laptop is about 6-7 years old running Windows Vista.

Thanks, let me know of any other tips.

Thanks.
NYF.
