Transfer Outlook 2000

I have purchased a new computer and I will install a new Outook XP on it. I need to know what files I need to copy over to the new computer frommy existing computer with Outlook 2000 to get the messages, the rules, the folder list and anything else I might need.

Search for *.pst (probably Outlook.pst)

Save this file (it will be quite big if you have used outlook for a long time).

When you get your new system up and running just find the outlook.pst file and rename it, then just copy your old file onto your system.

The only problem I have encountered with this method is the Rules do not always work.
