Question Norton Firewall and the Datek Streamer

I have purchased Norton Personal Firewall 2004 for my home PC. It is working fine except for the fact that I cannot get my Datek/Ameritrade streamer to work properly. The Streamer is basically a java applet that I can start when I am logged into my account at Ameritrade. The applet is starting up OK, but it is not populating with any stock quotes -- it is just blank.

I have tried working with Norton and Ameritrade, but have not had success. Basically, Norton has said to add the website URL to my listing of autorized sites, and then to configure the settings.

I tried this but no effect.

Anyone with experience in this scenario?

Thanks,

DD

I have the exact same problem and I have been exchanging e-mails with Norton and we seem to be going in circles. Horton knows that they have a problem and they are attempting to hide it.

A few interesting test results:

1. Even when I turn-off all of the NIS 2004 internal functions such as Firewal, Intrusion Detection, Ad Blocking, AntiSpam, AntiVirus, Privacy Control and Productivity Control, the problem persists.

2. When I re-instaled and older NIS 2003 version, Ameritrade Streamer functions perpectly.

I also have the same problem when using MedVed Quote Tracker, except I cannt even log in when ussing NIS2004

P.S I must completely disable NIS 2004 for Streamer to work
