When i go to
\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ ... there is no file named "Quotes". Why is that?

I have Windows Explorer showing all files, and I am on Windows XP Pro Buil 2600.

Hmmmm.... Is it just my computer that doesn't have it?

Oh well, it's not That important to me.

The EE you have listed for windows XP at http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com.../windowsxp.php isn't really an egg its there for the quote server that can be turned on by installing "Simple TCP/IP Services" in the add/remove programs dialog under windows components|networking services. The file isn't there until you install the service. You can then view the quotes by telnetting to port 17 on that machine. I've used it for years (since NT4) to add a random MOTD to a popup when users login to the domain. quotd is a standard unix service and in most flavors is turned off by default. Another use for quotd is to run it on another port (like telnet port 23) with a message saying "Your IP has been logged, The administrator has been notified. Now stay out of my system" Great for warding off people snooping on your ports. I have no clue how to change the port it runs under in windows, I think it may be hard coded into the executable. Love the site keep up the good work!

I found another easter egg in the wallpaper Bliss,

To Find Out: ( This Only Works For Windows XP )

1st - Type In the address bar - " C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper " And Select Bliss.

2nd - Open Microsoft Word And paste in. Change the contrast to 11%. Also Change The Brightness to 72%.

3rd - You will see an eye in the middle-right of the screen.
