Microsoft Outlook 2000 Link Issue

All of a sudden I am unable to link from an email to Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer opens but the link address doesn't appear oin the address. Hence I have to copy it manually. Anybody know what file may be missing or any other thing that might cause this?

Does that happen on every email containing a link ?
Cos I have same problem (Outlook XP) but only on the occasional email, which makes me conclude the problem is with the particular email.
