Software for digital camera?

I got a digital camera (Digitrex DSC-3000) on sale with epson stylus C84 printer and 32 MB memory card. The total price is $350, but it was on sale for $99. And I got the last one. The software that came with it is Ulead Photo Explorer 8.0 but it is not that good. What is a good software that I should buy for editing pictures?

This is what the camera has:
Trendy digital camera with 3.2 Megapixel and continuous 4x digital zoom.
Image resolution: 512 x 384, 1024 x 768, 2048 x 1536, 2976 x 2232 (interpolation).
Movie resolution: 320 x 240 @15 fps.
Storage media: Built-in 8 MB memory Secure digital card up to 512MB (optional)
Connectors: USB, video output (NTSC/PAL switchable)
PC/MAC compatible
1.5 inch TFT color LCD
Manufactured by APEX

Have a look at the Adobe Photoshop range or Paint Shop Pro .

Photoshop is excellent. Roxio's Photosuite is nice too for basic editing. Photosuite has simple and straightforward features for downloading digital pics, editing, filing, and emailing. I really like the email feature - it will resize your pics to specified dimensions and file them in a separate folder just for mailing - very handy. I find Photosuite's editing tools ample for my uses and very good for an amatuer photographer. Pixia and Irfanview are free tools. Pixia has powerful editing capabilities as well but seems more complicated to me.

Picasa, Faststone image viewer, and PhotoFiltre are all excellent free programs to handle most oridinary digital camera and scanner needs.
