Realtek x-540 speaker not working with Windows 7 utimate
I have an alienware pc (area 51), quad core proccessor.
Duel booting with windows xp pro.
Speakers work fine when I boot up xp but I get no sound at all with windows 7. I downloaded the drivers from realtek for windows 7. If I set my speakers to 7.1 and do a test I do hear sound comming from just the two front speakers but when I try to play music I get nothing. When I reset my speaker to 5.1, which they are, I get nothing durring the test and still no sound when I try to play music. Am I missing something here?
Any help will be appreciated...
