Need help Installing/Extracting drivers

I have suffered a computer disaster and had to reinstall Windows. I need to install Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller drivers. It comes in a .zip file and it asks me where to extract the files. I have no idea where they should go.

Can anyone help?

Anywhere you want - even a temporary folder on your desktop will do.

Extracting is NOT installing! Extracting is just decompressing the installation file or files. Once you have extracted the files, you run the installation program which will (should anyway) install the drivers where they belong.

Once the drivers are properly installed, you can safely delete the extracted files.
