Using Outlook 97 for storaging emails

I use Outlook Express and receive a lot of emails. For reasons not understood by anyone else, I like to keep some Yahoo forum emails that I receive directly into my Outlook Express

As Outlook Express does not seem to work properly when overloaded with emails, I would like to know if Outlook 97 will allow me to store an unlimited amount of emails. I like the idea that I will be able to use the search function in Outlook97 to search through numerous folders to locate all the individual emails concerning a certain topic/subject matter. It could mean searching through tens of thousands of emails.

.. BUT I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS if I will end up with similar problems as I have had with Outlook Express, i.e. the FIND MESSAGE feature in Outlook Express has stopped working in the Main Identity (however, it DOES work in OTHER identities where I had shifted some folders).

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I really haven't looked at the storage limitation in OE but I have read it somewhere that limitation for PST (Outlook 97 and 2000) file format is 2 Gig and OST (Outlook 2002 and XP) it 15 Gig and up... so you may want to think twice before moving to OL 97 due to storage limitation, perhaps OL XP would be a better section....One other thing to remember is that in OE you had Main Identity and what ever else, but in new version of OL all the email in packed into on email database and you have to separate them with policy (pain in the neck).... look at all your options first.

cheers
