Using nero 6, can I create entire image of a drive on CD ?

If yes, how ?

you can but not of the drive you are working on - not of drive c.

the image also has to be 800mb or less if it is going on an 800mb cd or 700 or less if it is on a 700mb cd etc...

What are you trying to do exactly?

I have created a 1350mb drive that is just less than 2 700mb CDs.
Further, I have installed winxp on it.
What I want is to create the entire image of that drive on 2 CDs,
so that whenever I want to install winxp, I will have to only copy those CDs on that drive to get winxp running.

why dont you just burn your images onto one dvd? it would save the hastle of burnin it on 2 cd's

i dont think this is possible dude..any windows xp installation must have a MBR listed on the harddisk. this can be only attained by installing.

You need an Imaging utility. Ghost for example. Version 9 of ghost, as well as Acronis product will back up even a boot partition that is in use. In other words, C:
Further, you need a special version of an Imaging utility if you want to use the image on a PC other than the one it was taken from.

do a back up of important stuff on cds/dvd's

if you want to make an image of your intire hard drive,1st you need another partiton or separate hard drive and use something like drive image 7 or Acronis True Image.
