Windows Script Host

Receiving this pop up, any advice on how to get rid of it? I am using SBS Yahoo DSL connection, so it has something to do with that, I only get this pop up when I am in Outlook Express 6 checking mail, strange. I would be happy if someone could just tell me how to remove it, I have already run SpySweeper, but the pop up is not adware, probably something in the registery, any good registry cleaners?

Windows Script Host

Cannot find script file "C:\Program Files\\SBC\Connection
Manager\sprt\htmlagent\vbs\tsoe.vbs".

Thanks in advance,

Use Windows search and search for "tsoe-cleanup.vbs", Renamed the file to "tsoe.vbs", then close Outlook and restart again, that should fix the problem.

cheers

Thanks Snowmonkey

Thanks for all the help snowmonkey, I am having all kinds of computer problems also, cannot get IE6 to install over 5.5 is the main issue right now. I already removed Oulook Express in an effort to repair the problems, now I cannot reinstall because it is packaged with IE, I'll keep trying.

Thanks again,

TxTrapper

How are you able to get on line to post this question now ? Do you have a copy of Internet Explorer 6 locally or you are trying to install it through Microsoft site (Express Install) ? What kind of error do you get when trying to install (error number or some kind of hint)

cheers

Just to let you know that I did what you said above and now I don't have the annoying popup.

Snowmonkey, you are certainly an asset to this forum, and I salute you for your computer knowledge.

Many thanks,

I have IE5.5 installed, and have no problem getting online using Yahoo DSL, but after I contacted you about the pop up in Outlook Express, I removed Outlook Express hoping that would eliminate the problem. But I created a bigger one, I found out that Outlook Express was part of IE now, I have been working on this all day.

Then I remembered I had outlook express on my old Windows ME Installation disk, so I reinstalled, and got outlook express back, of course I am still at IE 5.5 but not having any problems at the moment, so I guess I will wait and find out how to installed IE6 over IE5.5. Everytime I try in Windows Update, when it's about thru, it reminds we that another IE6 was not completed and tells me to restart and try again, I have done that several times to no avail, apparantly there is something I need to remove so IE6 would go ahead and install. Right now all is OK, it's just that before all this I had IE6 SP1 for over a year and liked the features, but it's working now and thanks to you my email is ok.
