Outlook 2000 From Field

Hello, I have a question about Outlook 2000. My office runs a network and we have about 8 computers which comprise this network. Most of us run Win XP for an OS, but some run 2000 and 98SE. We all run Outlook 2000 or Outlook XP, and SpamNet.

Outlook has big problems identifying inter-office mail we send to each other. When I send an email to my boss, sometimes it says it came from Joe Blow, sometimes Joe, sometimes Joe John Blow. When I receive email from them, I also have this problem with their identities. Since we receive a lot of spam, it would be nice to ID each other more easily when we receive emails, so that we don't mistake each other for spammers. Any suggestions?

In a possibly related issue, we used to be able to click to choose to send an email to another coworker when composing a new email. (clicking new>to>select names from postoffice address list) but emails now get lost when doing this. Any suggestions for this issue as well?

Thank you,

Tom

Do you guy have your own email server or you are getting your email through your ISP (business account) ? having the ability to send on behalf of someone else (From field) is very dangerous this to do and the right to make changes to it is controlled by server Administrator... I would suggest to use delegation control instead of on-behalf.... If you use delegation and send an email on behalf of someone else then senders address will show up like this: "Joe smith on behalf of Joe blow" then you could never miss that.

As far as missing email goes, either they have never been delivered to the email server (so you can look in you out box) or they are sitting on the server in which case server admin can redirect it to anywhere he/she wishes.. talk to server admin.

cheers

I'm afraid I wasn't clear. I'm not interested in sending an email on behalf of another coworker.

The problem is, when I receive emails from other coworkers, their identities aren't consistent. Sometimes I receive an email from First Name, sometimes from First Name Last Name. Likewise, my coworkers have the same problems when they receive interoffice mail.

The second problem is, I can't make shortcuts that work when I try to use the select names box that pops up when I click on "To" in a new email message I'm composing. The emails get lost.
