Virtual Memory

my computer is running out of Virtual Memory in like half the time it used to.... I have 512 ram and run win98.... it seems to be running slower as well..... I there something i should clean out to help my performance>

What type of processor do you have?

Are you letting Windows manage the swap file (win386.swp) or did you speficy a particular size for it?

my swap file is 132 mb ...... im running a p3 with 750 mh

Go 2 control panel and double system, then click the performance tab and make sure it is on let windows manage my virtual memory settings. Also what kind of video card do u have is it an agp or a pci. If it is an agp how high is your agp apptexture. And what kind of motherboard do u have.

Are you running Windows 98 or 98SE? If so then Windows 98 is a very buggy program. I have 512Mb of RAM on 98 and it 'dumped' my memory so I then went to 98SE and everything was fine.
