OK so I tried to do the scandisk, and this is what keeps happening:
It will scan for about 6 minutes up to 55% then stop and the following happens:
(*Window Pops UP*)
The 'C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{DA1AECA8-3C74-400A-922A-B2A1BB127BDC}\Microsoft\Outlook Express' folder contains incorrect information about 'Folders.dbx'.
This file or folder's last-modified date or time is invalid or is in the future. This may be because your computer's clock is set incorrectly. ScanDisk repairs future dates by changing them to your computer's current date setting. ScanDisk repairs out-of-range dates or times by changing them to the nearest setting within the valid range.
(It has 3 options--> 1-Repair the error. 2-Delete the affected file. 3-Ignore this error and continue.)
I tried to restore, and I tried to delete, keeps restarting scandisk. I also tried the 3rd option(ignore) and a Scandisk window pops up and says:
After trying both option 1 & 2 another window pops up and says:
(*Window Pops Up*)
SCANDISK NEEDS TO RESTART
A program (or Windows itself) saved information to your drive after the previous error was detected. ScanDisk must restart so it can include this new information in the scan for errors. This error, and any other errors that were previously reported, but not corrected, may be reported again.
This is what happened after trying the 3rd option:
Scandisk-Local Disk (C)<--Window name
Scandisk must now restart because another prgram(or Windows itself) wrote to your disk. Any errors that were previously reported, but not corrected, may be reported again. Options-->OK or Cancel
Then scandisk repeats and restarts.
