Indexing a Thread
If I've missed something, please explain - however I suspect there is no obvious index, other than "Search for - - -." which depends upon a post being a single-subject..........which they aren't often.
Don't we need to split the section into Hardware specific, Software problems and operational poblems (ie where the user doesn't know where the problem lies)
This "Index" can be achieved by authors marking their paragraphs with the equivalent of a "smiley" (which I don't use) - a hammer for hardware, an egg for software and (?) for something else. No doubt the Moderators can think of a better method, it's just that by the time I've trawled through five, or six pages I tend to get confused so post a "new thread" - fortunately many here are knowledgable and that's why most of us are here, I guess.
Unfortunately the choice of "Subject" isn't always a good guide to content.
Do others have alternative views?
