Windows Hanging

Hi all

I ve a P-III 933 Mhz PC with both Win 98 and XP installed. Recently by mistake I changed the CMOS/BIOS setup by loading the default values. After this my pc hangs every time I open windows 98, sometime while booting itself. When I select Win XP there is not much problem. Can any one help me to solve this.. [I ve TV tuner Card & Web Cam installed and both hangs very frequently]

Hi cant you go back in and reverse what you altered or remember what the settings were.

Thanx for the reply. The problme is that I dont remember the previous settings. Could u please explain the standard CMOS/BIOS settings for PIII machine

hi try this press f2 as computer starts up or f5 this will then take you to the Bios setting, read menu and follow instructions that appear.

can you tell me what kind of bios do you have ?
if you change the bios setting may be the speed
of your memory card and the default setting is incorect
try to lower the speed of the band from let say 133 to 100
