you guys are awesome just a little more help

Hey you guys have really been helping me through this and i appreciate it but one more thing before i can completely clear my hard drive i need to know how to back my drivers. I have driverguide toolkit and it listed all the drivers and its says you can back them up but i am kinda new so i dont understand if i click to back them up and i clear the hard drive they wont be there right? So do i need to save them to a disk or what and if so how well i appreciate all the help Billy

It should work, but there are allways exceptions.
You could identify the components and download the related drivers beforehand.

It usually works better to do as Disk Contented said...identify all the hardware and download the drivers before you format, burn them all to a CD. You only need to do that if you don't have the driver CDs that came with the computer, though.

If you don't know what all the hardware is (video card, sound card, modem, network card, etc.), download, install and run either Everest Home Edition or Belarc Advisor. Both are free and both will inventory your computer and tell you the make and model of the hardware components. With that information, you download the drivers from the various component manufacturers.
