Problem with Wireless USB on Windows '98 PC

I have a problem using the BroadBand Router connecting to a wireless LAN USB on a Windows ’98 PC.

The router is all set up and working fine but the wireless USB on the Windows ’98 machine doesn’t seem to be connecting to the Internet. It shows that the wireless connection is fine and seems to be connected to the router but it just doesn’t connect to the Internet.

Is there any configuration on Windows ’98 that’s limiting its use (if so, what should I do to fix it)? Because I’ve tried it on a Windows XP PC before and it worked.

I had the exact same problem. All my Win2K and XP machines on the network would connect but the one Win98 computer wouldn't. I goofed around with it for hours but without any luck. I finally reinstalled Windows 98 and it recognized the Internet connection and worked fine. Sorry I can't be more help, but I still don't know what was wrong???
