blue screen show error for window me

i was using 56k service for thr past 6 years. recently i upgraded my plan to 512k and problem start coming out.

it start to have a blue screen telling me that there is a error or file xxxx missing. once i click esc button, everything is back to normal but my broad band software will not have any respon as all.

not only that, my media keyboard function have either delay for 1min or not respon at all until i restart the computer. today after install microsoft office the same problem happen again.

is it because that the micrsoft me oem os in what my friend told me "it is the worst os that microsoft come out from?" or should i down grade to window 98?

well ME is just as good as 98SE it really 98SE with a 2k face with a few changes. just like 98 or 98SE it can be buggy at times especially if it wasn't done as a clean install (ie, upgrade from what ever). I would write down the file it says is missing exactly.probably the driver file didn't get loaded or is corrupt etc.. Restart find that file on the install disc or were ever. Put the whole driver file on a folder on your computer on the desktop were ever. Then uninstall every thing with the internet set up, then reinstall. but when it goes looking for the driver, you select were to search for the driver, follow the whole path were you left the whole driver file on your computer. Then select ok install it. restart.if that still don't work try your internet provider see if they will help you out.they only difference between 98SE and ME is 98SE is a little more dos friendly.but the extra's in ME can make up for it.or you could put in 98SE and put in the extra components of ME in 98SE.theirs a web site that tells how its done and has install packets set up.
