small internet explorer window

Whenever I use shift + click on a link, the new window is always tiny and I have to expand it. I read another thread where you can click and drag the window full size and then use the file menu to close it. This works, allowing all subsequent shift + clicks to open full screen. The problem is, when ever I close all Internet Explorer windows, and use shift + click again, it comes back.

I am using ME and IE 6.0.2600

I think a malicious website altered somethign somewhere somehow, this just started happening. I reloaded my registry from 2 days ago and it didn't help. I see no applicable options in the Internet Explorer options menu. Please help.

I *think* I have it figured out. Time will tell.

If this happens to you, close ALL windows but the tiny one. Drag the top left corner to the top left corner of the screen and drag the bottom right corner to the bottom right of screen. Don't click on the full screen button. Open the FILE menu and click CLOSE. Just make sure it's the last window you close.

First time I rebooted, my comp locked-up. Second time it did scan disk and seems to work right now. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and hopefully, it will be the last! Why can't they fix this crap?
