Sound Card Problems
Ok. I got a real problem here that I have spent several days on and I am just running out of options.
I am running Windows 98 OS and the sound will work for some programs but not others.
For example: I can use the CD Player that is already on Windows 98 with no problem, but if I want to use Windows Media Player 9 to play the exact same CD it comes up with an error that says that my sound device is in use by another program. I made sure that all other programs that could possibly be using sound were closed and there is still this problem. Also, when I go into My computer/control panel/sounds and try to play the sounds for the OS there is the error saying that the sound card may be in use and will not play the sound.
