security updates

I just recently installed security update for Directx 9 #KB904706 and Security update for Explorer 6, service pack 1 #KB896688. After the install and restart, I started getting the message "No SCSI host adapters found." I have no SCSI devices on my computer. Where did these error messages come from and how can I get rid of them?
Thanks

Are you getting this message before Windows starts or after?

Chances are that this is a program that's looking for the host adapters and can not locate them. Go to Start>Run and type msconfig then click ok.

Click on the start up tab and look for anything related to scsi. If you have a question about any of those and can't figure out what they are post the names of them here and i'll tell you.
