Deleting Win 95

I want to delete Win 95 off this old IBM and hopefully install Linux on it. But I'm not sure how to delete Win95, any help would be appreciated.

restart in dos mode, type format c: /s/q , then use install disk or that linux-lite cd-boot os to start anew.
