Space not avaliable

HI i recenectly installed 98 on someones comp. However it says there are 38 gbs missing and only 2 gig avaliable which is just enough to run windows!!?? Does anyone know what has gone wrong here.

HI ok i know wat the problem is... i have 36gb of unallocated space...... i now know how to allocate this space to a different drive.. the problem i have now is that the partitioned 2gb for the windows operating system i have is FAT file system... i want to put fat32 on the new partition.. can i do this when my windows partition is already just plain FAT?? or do i have uninstall windows and reinstall with FAT32 b4 any other drives are FAT32???

Hope this int to confusing.. plz help me

Hi ssentity, if I am reading your questioin correctly and you want to change a drive from FAT to FAT 32, then its easy. Use the drive converter in system tools.
Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools=>Drive converter(fat32). You can do this from inside Windows without having to re-install anything. After you have converted, remember to do a scan disk( which will take a while with 38 Gb)
