no sound bad screen resolution

hey guys well this is my problem i just installed windows xp on my computer becuase ive had problems. well evrything worked good but i catn hear any sound i dont have a volume control or anything well i dont know what to do i think i need a driver but i dont know where to download thats my computer info can someone plz send me a link for a driver i can download

my next problem is I cannot set the video resolution above 640 × 480 with 16 colors. can somone plz help me

Hi, If you know the make and model of your Mother board go to the makers site and download the needed drivers. If no luck there then try driversguide.com. They usuall have it or a link to someplace that does. Luck, Jim

Go in to sound, video and game controllers click on the + and read out everything in this list.
