sound card " cmi8338a/c3dx pci " problem

i am new member to this forum.

i am very excited on this forum.

i have one prblem. i have posted this in lot of forum but i did not get the answer. but i believe this forum moderators and memebers to get the solution.

i have soundcard cmi 8338a/c3dx pci, i have both windows 98 and windows xp. my system is hanging after installing the drivers for that sound card.

but that driver and souncard is working fine in other systems.

my systems configuraion is

celleron 500mzh
via board ( vga and sound add on board)

how to resolve this

I had a similar problem....after installing the driver a blue error screen came up.....It ended up being the Onboard PCI Audio was disabled in my BIOS (its under Integrated Peripherals)
