Question Reformatting Cicero PC with Recovery CD

Well, needless to say I'm new at reformatting. I have a Cicero PC and I'm running Windows ME on it. I would like to reformat. All I have is 3 'Operating System Recovery CD's' I have back-up all my additional programs. I was told I needed to put one of the CD's in and it will reformat and then re-install my Windows into the system. I was never given a Windows ME disc. Just these recovery discs. Can someone please help me step by step on what I need to do after I put the Recovery CD in?! Thanks a bunch!

Cicero is the name under which Medion sell their computers in Canada go here to Medion USA ( support for Canada ) and search for info http://www.medionusa.com/

Knowledge Base / click More / select model / in Search For - type recovery cd / ID article 748 / how to restore to factory settings

Hope this helps

That website would probably definatly work, except that my model isnt on the list........lol.......that old I suppose. Should my recovery disc automatically just do something or prompt me to do something or am I supposed to run it somehow?

recover disk

you should have been given a complete ME disk BUT the recover disk will do fine.

just pop it in and reboot, then just follow the on screen directions on what you want to do.

but if cleaning it out completely (format) then burn what you need like pics, songs, etc. on cd's/dvd's 1st.

and if you choose to do a format, then the OS will let you know what other one of the other cd's to put in and when ok?

if it is say a "DELL" on reboot, you may have a partition with that recovery on it and should tell you to press a certain key on boot up process like F10

Cicero Recovery - No Boot

I've just done a reformat and system recovery on my Cicero computer using the Recovery CD. All the window files seemed to copy OK to the hard drive but when I remove the CD the PC refuses to boot from the hard drive. What have I done wrong, and what can I do to fix it?
Many thanks for any suggestions
