i need to know what and where to download a sound card?

I know next to nothing about computers, i know the hardware is there it is the software I need. I have no idea what my sound card would look like or even where to find it if I looked. I apoligize I gave you all the info that know.
I've done multiple searches to learn more but have only learned that pci multimedia audio device is a generic name and really does me no good. In several forums I seen that if you can understand the belarc report (which I can't) it can help identify what you need to find.

Sorry for the lack of better info.

Try using Everest. here is one download site.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
It will give you more of a detailed listing of your hardware then the belarc advisor, and should tell you what kind of sound card you have.
Then google the sound card you have to find out what kind of driver you need.
