Problem booting up

I have a computer running Win ME & when it boots up, it will get to the desktop & reboot itself over & over again. I tried booting up in safe mode, but it does the same thing. Could this be a RAM problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you have an emergency startup floppy you could run scandisk exe. and scanreg from it I think. At least this would eliminate harddrive problems. Next, you could try running Memtest - also run from a floppy.

you could also have a PSU problem

Take the side off and give the power cables a bit of a twiddle!! - Sounds crazy but you could be amazed
