Windows Me HELP!!!!

im trying 2 go back 2 98 Se but i cant uninstall Me, do i need the me disk 2 uninstall it.....
and also wouldnt it be better or easier 2 set my pc back 2 factory settings and just go from there??...if so please tell me how....thanks

To remove ME , you need to format & with your 98 install disks , reinstall .
You lose everything when you format .

If you want to recover your ME install , do this .

Go back to a good copy of the registry .

Toggle F8 ( when , verifying DMI pool message comes on ) or Press
Ctrl during bootup , depends on your computer .

Select , Safe mode Command prompt

After the C prompt , type , scanreg /restore

Follow the prompts and select a registry dated prior to the problems .

This article describes how to restore a backup copy of the Windows 98
or Windows Millennium Edition (Me) registry
scanreg /restore
