I have top-notch 3x256MB Crucial ECC SDRAM populating my voltage regulator-tweaked P3V4X board that is running a PIII1000@112FSB, Adaptec2940 SCSI controller hosting Fujiitsu MAG3182L & MAA3182SC 18GB HDD on Win98SE.

Etc.

Need some help?

Unhappy Crash after ejecting a CD

OK, this just started happening after 1 1/2years on this computer. I was copying something to a CD and when I eject the disk, this blue screen comes up. It says that " PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" then the computer restarts and Windows comes up with the Error report window.
Here is that info:

BCCode: 10000050 BCP1: E319BEBE BCP2:00000000 BCP3: 804EC9AF BCP4:00000001 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP:2_0 Product:256_1

Any ideas???

m11007 - I agree that your scenario does increase the operations and maybe thwe work the processor does...that is the CPU and periperals areas all arranged as the "processor", I did remark "CPU" so in that regard I think I'm still "stricktly" correct but here;s the issue - does it make that much difference that the PC resets? I haven;t heard of folk saying "..don't buy that game..it overloads the processor and resets the computer"
This problem has a far more basic root and we seems to have driven the originator off the screen......maybe just as well as he started with a multiple-post.....Oh dear.

other poster:-
CMOS Battery: When it comes time to change I think you will find it makes itself known with something like CMOS battery failure...replace. I don't think the mbd fires up and then the program crashes...although if you only boot-up once a week it might. Just once and then you are stuck with the msg each time.

It's most likely a simple issue:
-blocked airways... overloaded PSU, - bad connection somewhere on the mbd, some periperal with a fault.....I've even had a loose mains-lead cause failure - leads are made to a price and there is little support in the socket, so some of the strain is taken by the contacts - hence they sag and eventually lose their grip - result is a loose supply lead....the answer is to buy a new one every few years and chuck out the old one...snag is I never have one to hand when needed, so a strong pair of pliers gave it some new strength....but it's working loose again....the PS2 mouse/keyboard connectors are also somewhat weak and on one I've a short lead-adaptor to the old "DIN" connector. This is permanently plugged into the mbd and a case-mounted screw is ty-wrapped to the cable, so the mbd takes no strain....yanking on the keyboard might pull the DIN-connector...but the mbd PS2 and cable remain intact.
Fortunately USB is a somewhat tougher construction as it was designed to be repeatedly plugged.
Gradually we seem to have found a better connector.
