A buddie of mine has a dell gxa penn 11. he had a virus trojon start up. and alot of spyware i gave him sites of free tools to remove that stuff. But even after that and it did help he is still haveing problems like frezzing on real player and burner will not work right.Sometimes when he goes to shut down it frezzes up. His performance is up to 87 % and hard drive has alot of space. I also had him check msconfig and remove stuff from start up that he didn't need there. This helped porformance alot. thanks for help

get online with your ISP(example-AOL).

run the scan for trojans. This can take hours,so have a beer. When it finishes , it will let you know if you have problems. You can alsoo load your virus program. get the latest updates and then scan for viruses. Norton says that its good to go to the site at the beginning of this response , because a virus,if it gets through can disable your virus program, but this online test will not be infected. good luck Lenny....
