Internet explorer Script Error

When I try to log onto a website (MusicMatch.com) I get an error that says Internet explorer Script Error

Line: 1
Char: 27 sometimes it says 2
Error: Object expected
Code: 0

How do I fix this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go to your "tools" drop down menu at top of page and pick "internet options".
Go to > advanced.
Checkmark "disable script debugging".
uncheck "display notification about every script error".
See if that helps.

Try this; go to Tucows.com for a free download Spybot, it removes all adware, trojans, etc. I tried the deselecting Scripts and everything else, but this worked. I am using Windows ME and got the same pop up like you, pop up free now.

beeboy has already mentioned a fix that I usually recommend, so I'll mention another one that I found works. The new Google toolbar for IE has been mentioned here before, usually because it has a pop-up stopper. But, the Google Toolbar installer also disables that Scripting Error dialog box (A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?).

It might just be that they have errors on their web page from time to time. That's usually the problem.

I'm curious Ptrjgt if you were ever able to resolve that script error problem .... ? I only ask since now I have the same situation.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

From my limited research so far, I believe Hedda Lora's post here may have hit the nail on the head with what she had to say about the problem usually being with the site and not us users.
But still, my problem remains.

The problem is with the website, but using beeboy's or ESALADUANE's suggestion you can stop IE from bugging you everytime some programmer made a mistake on a website.

So right you all were ! The Google Browser solved my script errors problem. Initially, I didn't think that I should have to do something to correct a programmers' mistake ; but the incessant errors drove me to desperation. R-E-L-I-E-F .......... !

I did, and it's still happening. I wouldn't be posting here if it were that simple I think it's probably a bug in the latest patch for IE where they fail to check that option...
